Lulama is one of these stars,” said Irene Nel, General Manager: Insurance and BPO. Lulama’s rise through the ranks serves as a prime example of what can be accomplished when a person is empowered.
He joined Digicall in 2012, where he relished the challenge of assisting customers in a high-pressure environment. Lulama has distinguished himself as a specialist in people management, client relationship management and process management relating to both internal and external customers.
He has worked his way up from call centre manager into his new position of Operations Manager. Born in Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape, Lulama developed an interest in foreign affairs, equal rights and a passion for the spirit of Ubuntu. With an insatiable love for people and problem-solving, Lulama is well equipped for the customer services sector.
“Each individual is unique, and it is important to recognise our differences,” says Lulama.
“It is important to practice mutual respect and look for qualities in people and experiences that are different from my own.”
Lulama rated his promotion to operations manager as his professional career’s biggest accomplishment and looks forward to the leadership opportunity.
